As part of the Mental Heath Awareness Week Salty Seabird tasters we are inviting new sea swimmers to join the Co-Flounders Cath and Kath for a swim on the beach.
This is chance for you to swim in a safe and welcoming environment. There will be a qualified Open Water Swimming Coach present and tenured local sea swimmers for you to meet and provide you with advice on;
- swim kit,
- swimming safely,
- how the Salty Seabird Swimming community works
- warming up
- year round swimming
- getting in and out
All from personal experience!
Come swim with us and see for yourself the positive impact being in nature and swimming in the sea with a supportive community can improve your wellness.
Due to Covid 19 there are restrictions on numbers so the exact location of the swim will be provided in your confirmation email.
We are really looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to the joys or swimming in the sea.
Bring a smile, swimsuit, goggles, a wetsuit, beach shoes, a towel and LOTS of warm clothes and LOTS of layers and a warm drink for afterwards. Even in the warmest months it is cold on the beach and in the sea
